Ugg. No bueno. The hot and sour soup absolutely ruined any joy that could have come from this meal. The single oddest and most pungent soup ever. DO NOT RECOMMEND IT! Husband had beef and broccoli that was alright and I had orange shrimp. Definitely not great for the price. Egg rolls were just deeper fried spring rolls. We won't be back.

I grew up in Lake Havasu and this place was an integral part of my high school life. Any early release day and you'd find me and some friends having lunch. Besides students, you'll find business folk, snow birds, and families enjoying a delicious meal. Everyone knows it's delicious! Luckily, the prices have always been under $6 for a lunch special and continue to be just as inexpensive to this day. Whenever visiting Havasu, my husband and I always have to have lunch here. It's a tradition. The food is fantastic and the service is quick and efficient. We haven't found a place in Phoenix that compares to Golden Phoenix. I always order the cashew chicken with fried rice and my husband loves their curry chicken. Lunch is served with miso soup - which is delicious since it contains mushrooms and tofu. Besides being tasty, the portions are huge and filling. If you are ever visiting Havasu, definitely stop in here. The décor might not be fancy, but the food is good and the service is fast. You won't' regret it as you leave with full belly and a smile.

Good authentic chineese. Staff is very nice and attentive! My daughter and I got 2 dinners and still left with 2 to go boxes full of food! Very affordable. My only suggestion is to make the crab rangoons the way they used to years ago. They have a weird taste now.

In town on Vaca and had a craving for Chinese. Following Yelp's lead with the good reviews our party of 4 checked out the Golden Phoenix. All I can say is WOW! Everything we ordered was out fast and hot. If you are looking for great Chinese this is a sure thing

A gem in the desert! Came here with a coupon for a half off dinner. I have to tell you when we drove up I was hesitant to go in. It is just a little hole in the wall, and not very appealing, but my husband said let's try it. I was very impressed! Although I didn't really care for the crab rangoon, everything else was terrific! We had the General Tio Chicken and I usually don't order that, but my hubby does. It was awesome, like no other Generals! Then we found on the menu Crispy Shrimp, and back home in Omaha is the only place we have ever found this kind of Crispy Shrimp and it's only at one restaurant. We have been all over the country and never found anything close until now! It was so close to the same we were excited, and it was great! Don't let the looks of this place fool you and give it a try you won't be disappointed! We will definitely be coming back!

Great food and good prices. They even have beer! This is a hole in the wall place, but they make up for it with their food. Staff Was friendly and service was fast...will recommend this place. Only issue was their sweet & sour sauce is very bland...needs A little more sweet and sour.

Excellent food! My husband is addicted to the Crab Rangoon. The Lemon Chicken is just the right amount of tart and is solid breast meat. We stumbled upon this place after moving to Havasu recently. We ordered delivery and were stunned at 1) she quoted 30 minutes and the food arrived in under 30 minutes, 2) the order was complete and correct, 3) the delivery guy was nice and friendly, and most importantly 4) the food arrived HOT, not warm, but HOT. We've ordered from there a few times since then, trying new menu items each time, but always ordering the Crab Rangoon, and the experience is the same every time. Excellent.

Excellent food with very good prices. Favorite is honey walnut shrimp but also tried moo shoo pork, Mongolian beef, fried rice....all delicious and very fresh. Service is top notch, restaurant not fancy...pretty basic but it's Havasu and wouldn't expect any different. If you like Chinese ... A must visit location.

Good Food! Large portions, love the sizzling platter! Paper chicken was better than usual tonight. They have done some remodeling but its still lacks atmosphere inside. Ordered take out many times and always happy with quality and quanity!

We met friends here for dinner tonight. This used to be our go to place for good Chinese Food! Could not believe it was as good as we remember! We each ordered something different and the servings were generous enough that w shared between 6, and still took food home! Awesome taste! Service is simple, yet courteous . Give this places try if the mood strikes! You won't be disappointed!

EHHHHHHHH. No. Not that great. Ordered a lot of food to go. I got pissed off actually cos while I was ordering the server, the lady and the other guy server laughed. I was like, I know I'm ordering a lot, and I'm on the hefty side, but I ain't eating it all. And even if I was so what. JEEZ. But the lady who was taking my order explained that they weren't laughing at me, they were laughing at the chef cos he has to do a lot. Yeah right, I'm that gullible. Anyway whatevs, I ordered Almond Chicken, Beef Kung Pao, Crab rangoons, Chicken chow mein, House Chowmein, Chicken Fried Rice and the Walnut Shrimp. The walnut shrimp was the only decent thing that I would reorder again. The Chowmeins disappointed me, I always root for hole in the wall chinese restaurants and their version of chow meins cos they're usually good, but not on this joint. I've really had better. And I was hungry when I ate it and I still didn't finish. Almond Chicken couldve been okay but it was a tad bit salty. Fried rice was mediocre. Crab Rangoons - NO. I don't know if it was just an off night, or the chef was indeed overwhelmed (if so, then man you guys gotta have another one or a sous chef to help)... but yeah, if ever I come back at Lake Havasu, I'm gonna go pass this one, sucks to say but Panda Express would probably be better. Total was 62.01.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
